What we ask for when you book a repair, what happens to it afterwards, how long it stays on file, and what you can require us to do with it.
About Us and This Notice
Los Angeles Top Openers repairs and installs garage door openers across Los Angeles County, working out of 1607 W Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90047. This page sets out, in plain terms, what we do with the details you hand over when you ring the office, fill in a form here, or send an email. Anything below that reads oddly, put it to us on (323) 607-9877 and we will talk you through it.
What We Ask You For
Booking a visit needs surprisingly little: a name to put on the job, a number to reach you on, an email for the paperwork, the address the door is at, and a sentence or two about what the opener is doing. That is the lot. Photographs of the motor housing or the label on it are welcome and get used for one purpose only, working out the model so the right part travels with the technician. Card details are never collected through this website; payment happens at the property or is arranged directly with the office.
What Gets Logged Automatically
Our host keeps the ordinary server records that any website generates when a page loads, which can include the type of device and browser, a rough location worked out from the network address, which pages were opened and which site sent you here. It exists so we can see that the site is working and which pages people actually read. Nobody is identified from it.
What We Do With It
Your details get used to answer the enquiry, work up a price, book and complete the job, raise the invoice, and sort out anything that comes up under warranty afterwards. Appointment messages may reach you by phone, text or email, since those are the routes you gave us for that purpose. We do not drop customers onto a mailing list because they once booked a repair.
Who Else Sees It
Nobody buys this information from us and nobody is given it for their own marketing. It travels only as far as running the job requires, which in practice means the technician attending, a supplier if a board or an operator has to be ordered in, the payment processor and the accountant. Where a landlord, letting agent or insurer instructed the work, we will talk to them about it, because they are the customer. Beyond that, disclosure happens only where the law leaves us no choice.
Cookies
The site may set cookies to hold simple preferences and to count visits. Blocking or clearing them in your browser settings will not break anything here, though one or two conveniences go with them. If you would rather leave no trace in the visit statistics at all, a private browsing window does the job.
How Long It Is Kept
An enquiry that never turned into a job is held only while it is still plausible you might come back to us. Anything attached to completed work, invoices and the specification of the equipment fitted, stays for the length of the warranty and for whatever period tax and accounting rules demand afterwards. Those records are what let us identify the exact part on your ceiling years later without sending somebody out to look.
What You Can Ask For
You are entitled to ask what we hold on you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. You can also call a halt to us contacting you, whenever you like, and that is the end of the matter. State law gives California residents more besides, among them the right to be told what has been gathered and to have it erased. Ring (323) 607-9877 or write to service@garagedooropenerrepairlosangeles.com and say what you need.
Under-18s
Booking building work is an adult transaction and nothing here is aimed at children, nor do we knowingly collect anything from them. Should you suspect otherwise, say so and the record goes.
Links Off This Site
Some pages link outward, to manufacturer documentation, reference material and mapping services. Those sites run their own privacy arrangements and nothing on this page governs them.
Revisions
This notice gets revised as the business changes and as the law does. Whatever is published here is the version in force, and continuing to use the site means accepting it as it stands.
